Vegan pop-up planned for February

Need some vegan Valentine’s Day sweets? This pop-up might be just what you’re looking for.

The It’s All Natural Temple Store will be holding a Valentine Sweets vegan pop-up from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Ching Ter Maitreya Temple, 2891 E. Dublin-Granville Rd.

The event is designed to be a pre-order and drive-thru affair; pre-order options will be posted on the Facebook event page, said Lee Ng, of It’s All Natural Temple Store.

Customers will find a variety of sweets, like doughnuts, cupcakes, cookies, pop-tarts, biscottis, and pastries without milk and egg. Vendors will include Lindsay’s Vegan Comfort Food, Okalona Vegan Cuisine, and Persephone’s Pastries. Other vendors including Baked Better, Doughasis, and Offbeet Sweets will offer gluten-free and vegan options. The food truck Where It All Vegan and the temple’s kitchen will be serving hot vegan food at the pop-up event as well.

Ng said the next event will be a mini food pop-up to celebrate the Lunar New Year on Feb. 21.

“Basically, we will be hosting a pop-up every month, and March 28 is set for now,” she said. “More dates will be announced soon.”
