Wine and cocktail bar pursuing former Smithery site

Law Bird appears to have a new project in the works.

The bar at 740 S. High St. has submitted a liquor permit application for 1306 Grandview Ave., where The Smithery recently closed up shop. According to the Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of Liquor Control website, the application is for Law Bird LLC, doing business as the Law Bird Supply House.

We reached out to Law Bird for comment, but they didn’t respond to us by press time. They seem to have alluded to the project though, in a recent social media post.
