Wizard of Za introduces same-day pickup option

When Wizard of Za first hit the Columbus food scene, their white-hot popularity and high quality pies meant patrons needed to wait sometimes months for a single pizza.

Fans of the eatery’s square focaccia-dough pies can finally rejoice now, however: Beginning yesterday, Wizard of Za announced the addition of same-day ordering slots.

While the number of these slots is still limited, this means daily, many customers will be able to order a pizza and pick it up from the Columbus establishment that same day.

“It’s been a long time coming, but we are SO excited to inch closer to all the things y’all have been wanting,” a statement from Wizard of Za posted to its Instagram account reads.

Same-day pickup been a long time coming for the popular pizza spot. The concept first launched in early 2020, when owner Spencer Saylor would make pizza from his own home kitchen. Extended wait times have been part of the concept nearly ever since, but after the eatery launched its own brick and mortar location in December of last year, wait times have gradually tapered off.

But either way it’s come about, we’re glad the day is finally here.
