Wizard of Za to move to open ordering in two weeks

Sarah Sole

Soon, you’ll be able to get your hands on some Wizard of Za pizza a lot more easily.

Spencer Saylor, the man behind the viral Sicilian-style pizza, said he plans to wrap up his waitlist next week and move to open ordering beginning the week of Feb. 15.

“Managing this waitlist has been like a full time job in itself,” Saylor said.

At its peak, the waitlist was about 4,500 people, Saylor said. Customers can visit the Wizard of Za website to choose to be notified via email once the pizza shop has started open ordering. Folks will still have to place their orders the day before by midnight, and pizza orders can be scheduled out as far as two weeks in advance.

Saylor recently opened his brick and mortar location inside sushi restaurant FUSIAN, at 4214 N. High St.

Thanks to a recent partnership, you’ll be able to snag some sweets with your pizza as well.
