Wilco, Kesha to headline local music festival this weekend

The WonderBus Music & Arts Festival will be held this weekend, and by the looks of its star-studded lineup, they’re making up for missing out on 2020 due to COVID-19.

Its lineup will include the likes of top 40 hit-generating Kesha (performing Aug. 28) and longtime indie rock darlings Wilco (Aug. 29), alongside the power-pop trio AJR and alt-rock band Grouplove.

You can check out the full lineup here.

The event—held at The Lawn at CAS (2540 Olentangy River Road)—benefits the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.

And while the event looks to be a smash hit in its return, WonderBus is tightening up its COVID restrictions for festival-goers this year.

In order to attend the event without a mask, visitors will be asked to provide proof of a completed vaccination or a recent negative COVID test.

And while those without proof of vaccination or a negative test are still able to attend the festival, they will be required to do so while wearing a facial covering.

The festival also plans to hand out free bottles of Germ-X hand sanitizer to every attendee.

“The safety of our patrons, artists, workers, employees, volunteers and vendors is our number one priority,” the event’s website reads. “Our entire music festival event takes place outdoors and we are doing our best to remain inclusive to all.”
