New soul food restaurant coming to Polaris area

A hearty new soul food eatery is coming to the greater Columbus area.

The eatery, which will be located at 1262 E. Powell Rd., has not announced an opening date yet, but it is slated to open soon.

CJ’s is located inside the Oak Creek at Polaris shopping plaza, which is just under two miles away from Polaris Fashion Place, and due south of Lewis Center.

The new restaurant will take the place of Caribbean Jerks, which closed in 2019.

CJ’s is billed as “The new era of soul dining,” according a statement on its Facebook page.

“CJ’s is where the new age of soul music & food meet & births the new taste for Soul Culture,” the statement reads. “With a vibrant yet soulful atmosphere, our patrons will have superior to experience [sic] that will complement their lifestyle & make them feel at home.”
