New taco restaurant opens on Southeast Side

A new spot for tacos and more authentic Mexican fare has just arrived on the city’s Southeast Side.

Taqueria La Doñita is now open at 2750 S. Hamilton St., inside Saraga International Grocery.

The Mexican eatery joins a handful of food concepts inside the new Saraga store, creating an international food court for customers.

Concepts such as the Jamaican restaurant Mi Yaad, Kay’s Soul Food Kitchen (featuring southern American fare), and Bakery 3 Espigas de Guadalajara (a Mexican bakery) inside the new Saraga location.

The new eatery held its grand opening on April 1.

Customers can opt for everything from tacos, burritos and quesadillas to tortas and Mexican soups. The new taqueria also offers dessert options, including flan, chocolate flan, and even bionico, an indulgent fruit cocktail with sprinkles.
