Popular Old North bar, music venue reopening after extended closure
Just like that, Spacebar is back.
The quirky, popular Old North Bar—which also doubles as chic music venue for upcoming bands—announced yesterday that will be officially reopening following a closure that lasted more than two full months.
Spacebar will reopen on March 3, according to a statement posted to the bar’s Instagram account. It has been closed since Dec. 31 due to the spike in COVID-19 cases Franklin County was experiencing at that time.

What’s more, the bar will also be reopening as a venue at in early March. This means bands—such as Howling Giant and SHINER—will be performing there next month, and events—like Goth Night—will be taking place as well.
Spacebar is located at 2590 N. High St. It first opened in 2014, and features a staff that’s heavily involved with the Columbus music scene.
