After 25 years, this Short North business is moving

The city’s only female-owned adult boutique, and one of the longest-tenured businesses in the Short North, is ready to find a new home.

As of Monday, The Garden has officially shuttered its Short North storefront that operated for a quarter century.

The adult entertainment shop’s new home will be located at 5433 Bethel Sawmill Ctr., on the city’s Northwest Side.

“Tonight we say “good night” to the Short North for the last time after twenty-five beautiful years,” a statement posted to The Garden’s Facebook page reads. “We will continue to tell the stories of this [Short North] space: wild customers and neighborhood legends, our fame (and sometimes infamy), the leaky ceilings and load-bearing posters, our service to our community, and the immense love we will always carry for this neighborhood. We hope you will too.”

The new location is slated to hold its grand opening on Sept. 9, a representative for The Garden said.
