Columbus eatery named one of the country’s “must-try barbecue spots” by travel publication
A Columbus barbecue spot was recently tapped as one of the best in the country, by a national travel website.
According to a story published by Travelerdoor..com, Ray Ray’s Hog Pit is the best barbecue spot in Columbus.
“Ray Ray’s Hog Pit has become one of those places foodies all over can’t get enough of. Maybe that’s why they have six outlets already! The establishment’s unique selling point is the manner in which the meat is cooked gradually over low heat,” the story reads.

While Columbus is home to many fine barbecue spots, it likely doesn’t come as a surprise to see Ray Ray’s gaining more positive press. Among other accolades, head chef James Anderson was nominated for a coveted James Beard Award in 2020.
The barbecue concept operates six locations in central Ohio.
