Popular burger chain set to open new High Street location soon

Smashburger’s second Columbus-area eatery will likely open before the summer has officially arrived..

According to a Smashburger representative, the eatery’s newest central Ohio restaurant will likely open at the end of May, although an exact date was not provided.

The restaurant, which is currently hiring in anticipation of the new opening, is located at 15 E. 15th St., STE B110, within the University Square development, which was formerly known as 15th & High.

Smashburger will be joining a host of exciting new concepts at this location, including Keystone’s Mac Shack, which will serve mac and cheese, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Genghis Grill and more.

The University Square Smashburger will be one of two central Ohio locations for the Denver-based burger chain. It also operates a restaurant that’s located at 552 S. State St. in Westerville, in addition to locations in Dayton and West Chester.
