Popular pizzeria and restaurant closing one location, but launching new Dublin shop soon

While Gallo’s Tap Room Powell is set to shutter soon, the popular and versatile restaurant group is set to open a chic new Dublin pizzeria to replace it.

According to a statement posted to the Facebook page of Gallo’s Tap Room Powell, the eatery will soon close as Gallo’s launches its newest concept, Gallo’s Pizza Cucina & Bar, in Dublin.

The new concept, which will be located at 5851 Frantz Rd., plans to combine the New York-style pizza the restaurant group is known for in a more full-service restaurant setting (versus the grab-and-go pizza operations Gallo’s Pizzeria offers in North Market Bridge Park).

“It is with sadness and excitement that we are announcing that we will be closing Gallo’s Tap Room in Powell. We will be relocating to our newest location being built on Frantz Road in Dublin. We will keep you all posted on an exact closure date,” the statement reads. “To all of our patrons, thank you so much to you and the community for your support over the last 7 years, it has been an honor to serve you. Hopefully you will all come see us in Dublin at our newest concept opening early 2024.”

While Gallo’s Powell location will close soon in anticipation for the new Dublin pizzeria, the Powell eatery and bar specified on numerous occasions since announcing the closure that its Powell storefront will remain open for the time being.

Gallo’s Tap Room Powell, which is located at 240 N. Liberty St. STE A, will be operating under normal hours until further notice.
