Popular spot for chicken and fish launches first food truck

LB’s Golden Fried Fish N’ Chicken has hit the road.

For the first time, this popular ghost kitchen–which launched in the 1400 Food Labs incubator space in 2021–recently launched a food truck of its own.

“That was actually the goal from the beginning, to open a food truck,” owner Lance Burgess said “ I wanted to grow the brand as much as I could first, though.”

The concept, which Burgess opened after seeing the popularity of his food at family cookouts, won’t have its food truck confined to one section of the city, either. You can find an up-to-date calendar of where it will be on streetfoodfinder.

According to Burgess, now that LB’s Golden Fried Fish N’ Chicken has gone mobile, his menu will be more focused on portable, a la carte offerings, catering to events and festivals.

“I started selling fish by the piece and sides individually to give people the option of trying different things,” Burgess said. “If there’s an event with multiple trucks, I know sometimes people might want to get something from each one.”

Later this year, the truck will host a grand opening celebration to officially commemorate the truck’s opening. Follow LB’s social media pages to learn the date.
