According to a statement posted to its social media accounts, The Whitney House will be temporarily closed until Jan. 24 for a planned remodel.

It’s unclear exactly what the renovations will include for the roughly 2,000 square foot eatery, but the statement noted it will be “refreshing its space,” and referred to reopening a “new and improved Whitney House” at the end of the month.

Located at 666 High St., The Whitney House has been serving up upscale yet accessible “American comfort food” in addition to scratch-made cocktails at its Old Worthington home for nearly a decade. Owner Ian Brown first opened The Whitney House in the fall of 2014.
