The best pizza in Ohio is at a bait & tackle shop in Central Ohio, according to ‘Only in Your State’

“I’m going to start by saying that, if you’re looking for a fancy, Insta-worthy, hipster kind of pizzeria, you won’t find it here,” said Sarah McCosham, a contributing writer to the online publication, Only in Your State.

McCosham claims that she found the absolute best pizza in Ohio in tiny corner market store in Galena, Ohio at Cheshire Market.

Among the live bait and tackle at Cheshire Market, this community staple, originating in 1986, is also Delaware County’s secret spot for a thin, Columbus-style pizza topped with curled pepperoni. They also serve strombolis, which McCosham says are dreamy, as well as chicken wings, cheesy breadsticks, garlic breads, potato skins, and sub sandwiches.

“If you’ve yet to try the pizza from Cheshire Market, I absolutely recommend adding it to your list of must-visit Ohio restaurants! It’s the perfect detour/pit stop as you’re enjoying a scenic drive through Central Ohio,” said Only in Your State.

Cheshire Market is located at 5094 Cheshire Road in Galena, Ohio. Sounds like the perfect excuse for a mini road trip!
