This Columbus whiskey was featured in ‘Forbes’ after being named the best in the country

While we knew High Bank Distillery Co. took home more than a few medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the Columbus distillery publicly announced today that it landed an even larger prize at the country’s most prestigious spirits competition.

For the third year in a row, a High Bank whiskey has been named the Best Blended Whiskey in America. This year, Whiskey War Barrel Select Double Double Pinot Noir received the distinction.

Whiskey War Barrel Proof won the category in 2021, and Whiskey War Barrel Select won in 2022.

“This competition brings in thousands of spirits around the world and only the best of the best are recognized as ‘Best Of Class.’ Winning this award in a category is extremely impressive. Winning it twice just doesn’t happen. Winning it three times is history,” said Amanda Blue, COO of The San Francisco World Spirits Competition in a press release.

The news was originally revealed yesterday in a “Forbes” interview with High Bank master distiller and co-founder Adam Hines. You can read the whole thing here.

Unfortunately, High Bank noted that Whiskey War Barrel Select Double Double Pinot Noir is sold out. The brand’s newest installment of its Barrel Select line will come out in June.
