Rats. Unfortunately we mean this in the literal sense, not the rhetorical one.

According to a recent list published on June 30 by 24/7 Tempo, three Ohio cities were ranked among the country’s 30 most rat-infested. In the study, cities were ranked by the total number of “new rodent treatments” performed in each one, relative to their total population.

Out of all Ohio cities, Columbus was (thankfully) the least rat-filled, but it still landed the list’s 25th spot.

The city of Cincinnati, which was 19th on last year’s list, moved up two spots this year to land at number 17. The Buckeye State’s most rat-filled city goes to Cleveland, which landed the 8th spot on the 24/7 Tempo list. Cleveland was ranked 10th last year.

The most rat-filled city in the country, according to 24/7, was actually not New York City (which took the 2nd spot this year), but Chicago instead.
