Columbus named one of the “party capitals of the US” in new study

While we know Ohio State students are no strangers to throwing parties, it may be surprising to learn that the city of Columbus as a whole was recently tapped as one of the country’s “party capitals” in a data study from Giggster.

Landing 5.89 points out of 10 total, Giggster named Columbus as the 8th best party city in the nation.

To calculate their scores, Giggster took the 40 most populous cities in the country and collected the total number of nightlife attractions, bars, and pubs from TripAdvisor, calculating the percentage of establishments that earned at least four stars. Giggster then used Eventbrite to find upcoming parties in each city, and all of this data was normalized according to population.
