Nightclub operating illegally out of shopping center shut down by Columbus City Attorney’s office
An after-hours hotspot has officially been ordered to close after the Columbus City Attorney’s office found it to be operating illegally without a liquor permit.
Sabor Latino was operating out of 3415 South Boulevard in the Great Western Shopping Center near West Broad St. and Wilson Rd. According to court records, the illegal nightclub had already been forced to close in November by the Columbus Division of Fire due to safety concerns from overcrowding.

Records show the “nightclub” reopened on December 8th, filling up the parking lot with hundreds of people, and a long line of patrons at the door to get in. Investigators found a full operating bar inside of the nightclub, despite not having a liquor permit.
With more than 170 calls to Columbus police in the past two years involving gunshots, fights, and even reported sexual assault, the nightclub is now shuttered and boarded up.
“Operators gave no consideration for safety or the law when they opened, and now, their doors have been shut permanently,” said Rob Doersam, Property Action Team Attorney, in a statement. “We will continue to work with the Division of Police to monitor this property and remain committed to using every tool we have to improve public safety on the west side.”
