Unique Olde Towne East business once featured in ‘Vogue’ announces closure

One of Columbus’ more unique storefronts is closing, following four years and a feature in Vogue.

A.J. Soseby, an artisanal home goods store in Olde Towne East, announced in a social media post last week that it plans to close its sole location.

“After much reflection, it’s time to announce our shop is closing. This year has been tough, and despite hoping things would improve, we’ve reached a point where both the shop and I need a break,” A.J. Soseby’s post reads.

The business, which offers a carefully-curated selection of “functional yet artisanal” home goods according to a 2021 feature in Vogue, did not share a closing date.

Situated inside of a roughly 200 square-foot storefront, A.J. Soseby is located at 85 Parsons Ave., in Olde Towne East. The home goods vendor is just a short walk away from the historic Victorian home of owners Adam Johnson and Jonathan Sosebee, which is a regular feature on the concept’s social media pages.
