Extremely popular, local cheesesteak restaurant opening second location

A local spot known for huge Philly cheesesteaks, homemade cheese fries, and friendly hospitality is opening another location.

Starting March 5, you can catch Marlow’s Cheesesteaks at Budd Dairy Food Hall, slinging their signature cheesesteaks. They’ll be taking over the vendor kitchen that previously held a spot there, called Alphabetical Comfort Kitchen, which left the food hall on February 19 to launch a brick-and-mortar.

Marlow’s is a fast-casual restaurant, owned and operated by the dynamic duo Jomar and Shanika Sheppard. And the Sheppards definitely know a thing or two about what makes a good Philly; both of them were born in Philadelphia, and they moved to Columbus in 2017, first opening the Marlow’s Cheesesteaks food truck in 2021. Columbus quickly caught on to their incredible, melt-in-your-mouth sandwiches, and they opened their brick-and-mortar the next year, in 2022.

If you can’t wait until March 5 for a mouthwatering cheesesteak, you can also find Marlow’s Cheesesteaks in Gahanna at their shop located at 93 N. High St. They offer fresh cheesesteaks with bread and meat shipped in from Philly daily, alongside homemade fries and Italian Ice. They also offer a “build-your-own cheesesteak” option, which receives raving reviews from the Columbus community.

“Notably, Marlow’s is returning to the food hall after being one of our most popular Hatch partners last year, and their continued success demonstrates our commitment to fostering growth of restaurants we welcome. This addition allows our team to continue uplifting local business owners, while creating an unforgettable dining experience for our guests,” said Jeremy Hughes, Budd Dairy Food Hall’s general manager.

Cameron Mitchell’s Budd Dairy Food Hall, which opened in April 2021, is located at 1086 N. 4th St. The food hall features nine permanent chef vendor partners plus one rotating kitchen, in addition to three bars and event spaces.

We’re ecstatic to see Marlow’s Cheesesteaks open this second location there!
