New food hall in historic Ohio building gains new pizza shop and burger vendor

Jack McLaughlin

Just a week after bidding farewell to a burger concept and pizza shop, the new Zanesville food hall Downtown Exchange has announced a replacement in the form of (you guessed it), new pizza and burger vendors.

In a social media post last weekend, The Downtown Exchange—which opened this summer in a historic Zanesville building—announced that two new concepts, Gypsy Pizza, and Zane’s Bites, the latter of which will offer burgers, wings and more, are opening soon.

The announcement comes just one week after the Columbus-based burger vendor Hot Mess, alongside Pizzeria 1880, left the food hall on Dec. 31.

There were no additional details shared about the new concepts, nor was an exact opening date announced.

The new eateries will join eight other vendors, including Hayai Hibachi, Tacology, Chapman’s Coffee House and more.
