Pins Mechanical Co. drops plans to open massive, 40,000 square ft. location

Last summer, Pins Mechanical Co. announced plans to open in Franklinton’s new Peninsula development, which initially would boast a 24-story residential building, an office space, a grocery store, and a two-story, 40,000 square-foot Pins Mechanical Co.

A little over a year later, and plans have since changed. The office space is no longer part of the next phase, the original 24-stories has been downsized to 15-stories, and most notably, Rise Brands announced that they’ll no longer be moving their Downtown Pins location to The Peninsula.

Instead of moving their location, Rise Brands purchased the 141 N. 4th St. location, costing $3.4 million. “Expanding our 4th St. Pins location to include our 16-Bit brand is an option we’re exploring, but there are no finalized plans at this point. We will share a more formal update if or when those plans are confirmed,” Rise Brands told 614Now.
