Fall is here, and we couldn’t be happier. Whether that means Halloween, a full slate of pumpkin-related activities or just taking in some of the peak fall foliage, the city of Westerville is a hub for fall fun in central Ohio.

We’ve compiled some of our top choices for autumnal events in and around the city. Enjoy, and stay spooky.

Uptown: We’re starting at the heart of events and activities in Westerville. No matter the time of year, Uptown is a hub of shopping, dining, and it even boasts its own DORA.

Ohio to Erie Trail: Did you know the center of the 326 Ohio to Erie trail runs through Westerville? Grab a bike, hop on, and experience fall colors and more and your way toward either Cleveland or Cincinnati, both  terminals of the massive trail.

Fall Foliage: Speaking of fall colors, Westerville offers plenty of opportunities to catch them at their peak, whether that’s at one of the city’s numerous metro parks, or the idyllic Hoover Reservoir.

Uptown Ghost Story Tours: Presenting stories collected from the Uptown community combined into a theatrical, largely historical and highly entertaining walking tour. Staged in cooperation with Good Medicine Productions, the Uptown Ghost Tours begin at the Otterbein Cemetery, 175 S. Knox St., and conclude at the Old Bag of Nails Pub housed in Westerville’s historic Weyant Building, 24 N. State St. They run Friday and Saturday evenings Sept. 27-Oct. 31, plus Halloween night.

Hoover Fall Classic Regatta: On Oct. 12, this classic annual event comes to the Hoover Reservoir yet again. With fall colors in abundance, watch as crew teams take to the water flr a day of races.

The Great Westerville Pumpkin Glow: Held Oct. 17-20, The Great Westerville Pumpkin Glow is the city’s signature fall event! Wind your way through special exhibits and an enchanting trail of glowing pumpkins dotted throughout Heritage Park. Plenty of fun activities are included with the price of admission, including Axe Throwing, Pumpkin Bowling, Mechanical Pumpkin Ride, LED Putt-Putt, Inflatable Corn Maze, and a Pumpkin Bounce House + Inflatables.
