Gourmet food and wine delivery service opens in Columbus

A gourmet grocery, food and wine delivery service is now open to service Columbus, and the new concept is planning a local brick and mortar storefront as well.

The new Columbus business, Prime Food & Wine, is operating out of an East Side kitchen and warehouse at 4561 E. 5th Ave. It offers delivery of everything from choice cuts of steak and an expansive wine collection to by-the-ounce Burgundy truffle and smoked olive oil.

Prime Food & Wine is even offering full Thanksgiving meals and a catering service out of its commercial kitchen.

According to owner Ryan Newman, the new service features delivery in Central Ohio Monday through Friday. Customers can even pick up orders at their East Side warehouse. These are typically ready in 24 hours.

What’s more, Newman said Prime Food & Wine is currently in lease negotiations to open its first-ever brick and mortar storefront, where patrons will be able to shop in person, although wouldn’t open until later next year.
