New food truck with a fully functional wood-fired pizza oven now open

While it’s not everyday you find wood-fired ovens inside of food trucks, one new Columbus concept is changing that.

The Elevated Wood Fired Pizza food truck opened to little fanfare on Nov. 23, but this new mobile eatery warrants some extra attention, as it houses a fully functional DiFore wood-fired pizza oven.

As space is limited on food trucks, the presence of an authentic Italian wood-fired oven is relatively rare.

Using their DiFore, Elevated Wood Fired churns out Neapolitan-style pies with a variety of ingredients. They also lean on their oven to roast red peppers and other toppings for pizza.

The new food truck is open Thursday from 4-9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Sunday from 3-9 p.m. It is closed Monday through Wednesday and Friday. Check out Elevated Wood Fired’s Instagram and Street Food Finder to learn where they’ll be located.
