“Key members of our Schmidt’s Sausage House Und Restaurant team and their family are unfortunately dealing with COVID,” an emailed statement from Schmidt’s reads. “This has depleted our already shorthanded team. We have made the decision to give everyone a week-long break to get healthy.”
According to Schmidt’s Brand Ambassador Matt Schmidt, the eatery is planning a tentative reopening date of Jan. 14. They also plan to host a private banquet party on Jan. 13.
Diehard customers can still enjoy the restaurant’s food, however, as the Schmidt’s Sausage Trucks will remain open, weather permitting. You can find the trucks here.
