From fried alligator to Thai donuts, check out some of the most adventurous, and delicious, Restaurant Week dishes
We made it, Columbus. This week is the one we’ve been waiting for: it’s Restaurant Week, presented by Revolution Mortgage.
While there are far too many standout dishes for us to feature them all (over 100 participating restaurants offer their own Restaurant Week menu), we’ve compiled several of the more adventurous, but still absolutely delicious menu items that you can find this year.
Dig in, Columbus.
Hoof Hearted Brewery and Kitchen, Bayou Bites
Hoof Hearted is not afraid to think outside the box when it comes to making beer, and now they’re opting to get a little weird (in a good way) with their food as well. One of their Restaurant Week appetizers, called Bayou Bites, features fried alligator with fennel fern, citrus salad and New Orleans aioli.

Don Tequila Mexican Grill and Cantina Bar, Venezuelan Patacon
This popular spot for Mexican fare is offering a handful of fantastic items for Restaurant week, but if you want to mix things up, its Venezuelan Patacon is the way to go. This dish starts with a whole fried plantain that’s topped with with mozzarella cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, banana peppers and avocado with your choice of shredded chicken, shredded beef, pork or vegetarian, all topped with cilantro sauce.
Yellow Brick Pizza, Mufuletta
While this popular spot is known for its pizza (and you can always opt for a pie from them during Restaurant Week), they’re also offering a Mufuletta sandwich, featuring ham, capicola, genoa salami, mortadella, provolone, chopped olives and pistachio pesto on toasted ciabatta.
Gogi Korean BBQ, Seafood Pancake
While it’s likely most of us have experienced a traditional breakfast pancake at least a handful of times in our lives, it’s safe to say fewer Columbus diners are familiar with seafood pancakes. Gogi Korean BBQ is offering one as a first course this week, featuring a flour batter complete with seafood, yellow onions and green onions.
Bendi Wok n’ Bar, Thai Donut
What, did you think we wouldn’t save room for dessert? Last but definitely not least on our list of adventurous Restaurant Week dishes is Bendi Wok’s Thai Donut, which features sweetened condensed milk and ground pistachio to offer a fun twist on the traditional American favorite.
