New Mexican eatery coming to High Street in Worthington next month
Soon enough, Worthington diners will have a chance to indulge in a variety of new Mexican dishes.
That’s because Chapala Mexican Grill is set to open next month in downtown Worthington, according to co-owner Luis Munoz. The restaurant will be located at 530 N. High St., the former site of Bruegger’s Bagels.
“We are very excited about opening, but at the same time we know that we have a big responsibility to serve great food and drinks and be part of the community respectfully, and not just be another Mexican Restaurant in town,” Muoz said.

The eatery takes its name after the Central Mexican town that borders Lake Chapala, the country’s largest freshwater lake.
While Munoz said Chapala Mexican Grill shrunk its original menu to focus on quality, the new eatery still plans to offer a wide variety of dishes recalling the popular Mexican lakeside destination.
