A unique new tenant is taking over the former La Scala restaurant location
La Scala, the now-closed restaurant that was a favorite to Dublin residents for decades, is being replaced by a new business, and it’s not a restaurant.
Instead of a food concept, Nuvo Church will be opening inside the eatery’s former home. According to the church’s website, it will hold its grand opening on Easter, April 17, with services at 9:30 and 11 a.m.
Nuvo Church is located at 4199 W. Dublin Granville Rd. in Dublin.

The church, which officially launched in September of 2021, previously held services at The Exchange in Dublin’s Bridge Park, a contemporary event space. The former La Scala site will be the church’s first brick and mortar home.
According to Lead Pastor Patrick Holden in a promotional video about the new space, Nuvo is an inclusive church that welcomes not only dedicated churchgoers, but also those who are unsure about their faith.
“We’re launching a brand new church for people who have doubts and questions about their faith, and people who care about those people,” Holden said.
