One person hospitalized after shooting near weekend food festival

A shooting in the area of Genoa Park and the National Veterans Memorial on Sunday afternoon sent one person to the hospital.

At the time of the shooting, the Columbus Taco festival was taking place in Genoa Park. 

Police said the shooting, which occurred just after 7 p.m., did not affect the Festival, as it continued without interruption until it ended at 8 p.m. No one attending the festival was hurt.

Following the incident, a personal vehicle transported the shooting victim to Riverside Methodist Hospital. The victim was in stable condition.
