DiCarlo’s Pizza hoping to add multiple new Columbus-area locations
Even though the Hilliard location of DiCarlo’s Pizza has halted service, the iconic Ohio Valley pizzeria has big plans for the Columbus area, plans that include a potential five new locations in Central Ohio over the next two years.
According to a statement shared with 614Now from the DiCarlo family, the eatery initially didn’t plan to leave Hilliard. The restaurant is now attempting to model its locations after its successful new stores in Italian Village and Westerville, and this was not an option with the Hilliard space.
“We are now setting a standard with our locations. Our newest locations in Italian Village & Westerville both follow this, with a small floor plan, efficient layouts, minimal waste and original neon signage,” The DiCarlo family said.

Instead of staying at the Hilliard space, DiCarlo’s opted to sell the store in order to launch a new location that is being planned for the Dublin or Upper Arlington area. Currently, a sale is pending on the Hilliard store. Should this fall through, DiCarlo’s would likely reopen the location.
According to the DiCarlo family, the pizzeria’s new location standard will be embraced as the eatery plans to expand with multiple pizzerias across Columbus in the next few years.
In addition to the Dublin or Upperlington location, storefronts in the Delaware and Pickerington areas are also likely coming in the near future. Overall, the brand would like to see five new locations open in the next two years.
