One seriously injured after shooting outside S. High Street bar

One day after two people were killed in a shooting outside of a South Side bar, another bar in south Columbus has become the scene of a shooting.

According to Columbus Police, officers responded to Tootsie’s Lounge, which is located at 2440 S. High St., after a shooting occurred just before 12:20 a.m. this morning.

Police found a 33 year old man at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and rushed into surgery, although he is expected to survive.

The incident comes only one day after a fatal shooting took place at Old Landmark Bar, just over one mile further south from Tootsie’s Lounge. Two people were killed and three were injured in that incident.
