Barrio Tacos anticipated new location opening next week

Good things, such as really good tacos, come to those who wait.

The Cleveland-based Barrio Tacos has had a second Columbus location in the works for over a year now, but the anticipated eatery has officially put a date on its opening.

According to Partner Jason Beudert, the new restaurant will open on Sept. 13. At 3 p.m. It is located on OSU campus, within the new 15+High Development, which sits at the corner of 15th Avenue and N. High Street.

Anyone dining in throughout the day of the restaurant’s grand opening will receive a free taco, and the first 50 guests will also receive free queso for an entire year.

“We are thankful for all the students and faculty for their patience, but we’re pumped to say that Barrio is finally coming,” Beudert said.

The popular taco spot opened its first Columbus location in 2020 in Fifth by Northwest. Barrio Tacos also operates a Columbus food truck, a location inside Ohio Stadium and two locations within Lower.com Field.
