Bake Me Happy’s new location inside a former Merrion Village post office is now open
Bake me Happy, the lauded local spot for gluten-free treats, has reopened at its brand-new location.
After closing its original store at 106 S. Moler Ave. on Sept. 4, Bake Me Happy officially opened at its new home–500 E. Whittier St.–last weekend.
Located inside a former USPS post office, the new 4,000 square-foot space offers the same gluten free baked goods, coffee and even frozen treats patrons of the Moler Avenue storefront know and love.

According to co-owner Letha Pugh in an interview earlier this year, she and fellow co-owner Wendy Miller-Pugh were attempting to purchase Bake Me Happy’s original storefront, but when the deal fell through, they decided it was best to find a new location they could own themselves.
“We were asking ourselves if we really wanted to continue paying someone else’s property taxes,” Pugh said. “We had been good stewards of our funds as well, so we had the money for a down payment on a new building, we had everything else ready to go.”
Bake Me Happy also operates a location at North Market Bridge Park.
