This fast-growing fried chicken chain is coming to Westerville
It’s been less than two weeks since the fried chicken chain OX-B’s held the grand opening of its first-ever Columbus location inside BrewDog’s Short North taproom, and another Columbus-area location is already on the way for the popular spot.
According to OX-B’s co-founder Dan Esienhauer, the concept is opening a brand-new eatery, located at 2521 W. Schrock Rd., in Westerville’s Lee Plaza.
“This is an older center with a great corner space that we will be renovating. Absolutely love the location! Great visibility and traffic,” Esienhauer said.

Construction will begin on the new location this week, with a target opening date of early 2023, although an exact date hasn’t been announced.
The central Ohio-based eatery—known for its wings, Chicken and Waffle Fries and signature Slopwich (a sandwich that combines chicken tenders, mac and cheese, fries and more)—will be OX-B’ss sixth location. It currently operates restaurants in The Short North, Reynoldsburg, Lancaster, Newark and Heath.
