Mark Wahlberg’s brother is behind this Columbus restaurant, and you can meet him in person this week

The popular burger chain Wahlburgers opened its first Columbus location inside the Hollywood Casino Columbus last year. Next week, you’ll have a chance to meet one of the famous brothers behind the concept.

Paul Wahlberg, who serves as the concept’s top chef, is stopping by the Columbus Wahlburgers on Jan. 13, with an open meet and greet scheduled from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Wahlburgers is located at 200 Georgesville Rd., with Hollywood Casino Columbus. Dirty Frank’s and Mikey’s Late Night Slice also operate in the west side casino.

While he doesn’t boast the profile of his more famous younger brother, Paul Wahlberg is no stranger to the limelight, after appearing with his siblings in an A&E reality TV series dedicated to their burger concept—which was also called “Wahlburgers”—when it first opened in their native Massachusetts.

He’s not stranger to professional kitchens, either. The elder Wahlberg made a career as a full-time chef in New England. He served at multiple Massachusetts eateries, including stints as an executive chef.
