Popular Easton eatery closes “for the foreseeable future” after kitchen fire
Easton-area diners aiming to get their fix from Black Box Fix will have to wait.
According to a statement posted to the restaurant’s social media pages, Black Box Fix will remain closed indefinitely until repairs following a fire yesterday can be completed.
“Due to a kitchen fire today our Easton Columbus location will be closed for the foreseeable future. This event is very unfortunate but we are thankful that none of our staff was hurt,” the statement reads.

Known for its indulgent mashups of Creole classics–the OMG Philly, which combines a hearty Philly cheesesteak with shrimp, lobster and more–Black Box Fix is located at 4037 Fenlon St. With two other locations in Cleveland, owner and head chef Eric Rogers opened the concept’s first Columbus location in the spring of 2019.
The eatery’s statement did contain a hopeful note as well, vowing that Black Box Fix is committed to reopening.
“We will replace and rebuild and be back better than ever. We thank the Columbus and Easton community for your support.”
