Soda bar with build-your-floats coming to Columbus-area next week

It was less than a year ago, on July 1, that Strawsers Ice Cream, Pop & Candy Shop opened its first brick and mortar space in Grove City, and now the concept is adding another central Ohio location.

According to Mike Strawser, who owns the concept with his wife, Julie Strawser, they plan to open their newest location in Hilliard on March 3.

The storefront will be located at 3229 Hilliard-Rome Rd., which served as the home of Little Ice Cream Shoppe for a decade before it closed earlier this year.

Strawsers first opened last year as an expanded brick and mortar spinoff of Mike and Julie’s What the Float food truck, which allows diners to create custom soda floats from a wide variety of flavors. 

The duo will continue their popular build-you-own float service at its Hilliard location, in addition to adding candy and a soda bar.
