Columbus native, restaurateur has new season of TV show picked up by Food Network
A popular Columbus-born chef is returning to major network TV to host the second season of a popular show.
According to a press release, the Food Network has picked up the second season of “Superchef Grudge Match,” a reality-based cooking show where contestants handle both personal and professional conflicts through a winner-takes-all cooking competition.
The show’s host, Columbus native Darnell “SuperChef” Ferguson is a regular judge on other Food Network shows, and was formerly involved with the Gahanna-based eatery SuperChef’s.

According to a press release, the first season of the show was Food Network’s best-performing new show of last year.
“Our viewers love seeing these chefs settle their real-life conflicts and Darnell is the perfect host to lead all the action,” said Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, for Warner Bros. Discovery in a press release. “Superchef Grudge Match has quickly become a fan-favorite and we are thrilled to announce more culinary feuds will be resolved in season two.”
Production for season two of “SuperChef Grudge Match” will begin later this year, with episodes slated to air in early 2024.
