Fast-growing hibachi concept opens inside of former home of Dragon Donuts

The former site of Dragon Donuts’ Grove City location is now home to an entirely new eatery.

According to a statement posted to its social media accounts, Mr. Hibachi held a soft opening of its new Grove City location on April 8. The restaurant is located at 2806 London Groveport Rd., which was previously home to Dragon Donuts.

It’s unclear when the new location’s grand opening will be held.

The concept has enjoyed success over the last several years, having tripled in size since the summer of 2021. Before the grand opening of its North 3rd Street restaurant on Aug.12, 2021, Mr. Hibachi operated two restaurants, one located in North Linden and the other in Powell.

Today, the family-owned spot, which prides itself on serving fast, affordable Hibachi to Columbus-area diners,  operates six eateries. These are located in North Linden, Powell, Grove City, Groveport, Downtown Columbus and on the city’ south side, in the Innis Garden Village area.
