Popular national coffee chain opening first-ever location in Columbus proper

A big name in the national coffee scene has finally planted its flag in Columbus.

Biggby Coffee, which has operated a Marysville location since 2020, plans to open a storefront in Columbus, in addition to two others nearby.

It’s currently unclear when Biggby will open the new stores.

The brand will launch locations at 1742 Hilliard Rome Rd in Columbus, 10726 Sawmill Rd. in Powell and 8954 Owenfeild Dr. in Powell.

Marysville native Sandy Cruise left a longtime career in nursing to launch the area’s first Biggby location Marysville alongside her son and husband. Now, after three years of operating the Marysville store, Cruise has and her family have become the franchisees of one of the brand’s future trio central Ohio stores.

Biggby Coffee currently has over 300 locations, most of which are concentrated in the Midwest, with several on the East Coast and a lone location in Idaho.
