Highly popular burger & custard chain opening first-ever central Ohio location soon

Steakburgers, chili cheese fries, and custard shakes – oh my.

News broke yesterday that Shake Shack would be closing a location in Columbus, but no worries – a new burger and shake chain is on their way here for the first time ever, and it’s opening pretty soon.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is officially opening at 4108 Buckeye Parkway in Grove City, making it the first-ever Freddy’s to join central Ohio. A Freddy’s public relations manager confirmed that it’s slated to open this October.

Another Freddy’s will be opening by the end of the year at 1719 Hilliard Rome Rd., too. If you don’t live near Grove City or Hilliard, Freddy’s fans would probably assure you that it’s definitely worth the drive.

Their menu offers a wide variety of steakburgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and even a veggie burger made from black beans, which has been awarded a “favorite vegan option” by Huffington Post. Sides include cheese fries, onion rings, cheese curds, and of course, their famous custard milkshakes, malts, root beer floats, and sundaes.

This national chain started in Wichita, Kansas in 2002, and now has over 400 locations around the country. It’s considered the #8 fastest growing chain in the U.S., according to the Restaurant Business’s list.

I’ll definitely be in line for that veggie burger this October.
