Closed doors: Band meets with Dr. Drake

Band members finally got their wish: a chance to meet and talk with Dr. Michael Drake. In part of the ongoing debacle and controversy the band was able to talk directly with the president on the rumors that concern them. According to one of the students in the meeting though, Drake mostly listened, and didn’t talk much, NBC4 reported. “We had good conversation. The students were able to talk to Drake and he was able to listen to us,” said Ryan Barta, a senior and four-year band member. Many of the members are also worried about the falling prestige the band has suffered since the news.
