Shh…”Secret” bar and events space to open this summer

Privacy at a bank is important, but it will be even more coveted at Columbus’ newest secret bar. The former Chase branch at 45 E. Granville St. in downtown Sunbury has been purchased with the intent to transform it into a venue and low-key cocktail bar.

District 13 is a brainchild of Jassen Holderby, a former member of the service industry and current owner of J. Holderby Renovations Design & Construction Services.

Holderby told Columbus Business First that the 4,200-square-foot restaurant would be somewhere between fancy and casual—perfect for anniversary, engagement, and other celebrations. The bank’s downstairs quarters are perfect for the “secret” component of the concept.

We’ll keep the rest of the details to ourselves to not spoil the surprise.

Construction is currently underway with hopes of an August open date.
