Lebanese restaurant’s second location geared toward healthy fast-casual fare
What happens when you’re out on the town and suddenly get a late night craving—as one does—for some hummus?
If you’re partying in the Short North, soon you’ll be able to go to Mr. Hummus Grill.

Chef Tarek Albast said the new location should open up this spring at 1131 N. 4th St. While the original location at 1450 Bethel Rd. has a traditional dine-in atmosphere, the 4th Street location will be specifically designed with a fast-casual aesthetic catering toward late-night eats.
“I feel like people these days, they just want a clean bite, but they’re always in a rush,” Albast said.
The new location’s hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. The menu will feature a large vegetarian selection, as well as such staples as hummus, falafel, flat pizza, and grilled kabobs.
The area is familiar territory for Albast, who used to take his food trucks to the Short North. When he stopped taking out the trucks and instead opted to open Mr. Hummus Grill at 1450 Bethel Rd., many customers asked him to return.
“People love our food in that area,” he said.
