Columbus Taco Fest slated for next month
Get ready, Columbus.
This year’s Columbus Taco Fest is slated to have more options on deck than last year’s, according to Executive Director Hugo Albornoz.
This year’s Grab-N-Go event will be held from noon to 7 p.m. May 15-16 at the Ohio History Connection. And while last year’s event had 14 vendors, this year’s could have close to 20.

Albornoz said he still wanted to hold the festival in a carryout format to ensure safety during the ongoing pandemic.
“We have a responsibility to take care of everybody,” he said.
As such, guests are encouraged to order their food ahead of time using the Street Food Finder app, though walk-up orders are still permitted.
And come summer, Albornoz has plans up his sleeves to bring even more tacos to Columbus with the first-ever Taco Week from June 7-12.
“We realized that some other cities are doing some similar events,” he said.
