Freedom a la Cart plans elegant dinner party for fall
A bit of mystery never hurt an upscale dining experience.
Freedom a la Cart, an organization that works to help survivors of sex trafficking become self-sufficient, is planning an outdoor picnic dinner for Sept. 4, Eat Up 2021. The event’s downtown location will be kept secret until the night of the festivities.
“The last year has presented uncertainty and obstacles but it’s also given us the opportunity to test our creativity,” said CEO Paula Haines. “This year, we will host our first-ever outdoor Eat Up Columbus in the heart of downtown near our brand-new cafe + bakery and Freedom Loft. We hope you’ll join us in supporting the women of Freedom a la Cart.”

The dinner is inspired by “Diner en Blanc” parties, and patrons are encouraged to dress in white, symbolizing the new beginnings for the survivors the organization serves. Tickets can be purchased here.
In addition to offering catering and box lunches, Freedom a la Cart now has a cafe and bakery, which opened this spring.
