Pizza Paradise at Slice of Columbus
Say it with me, I need pizza, you need pizza, we ALL need pizza. Slice of Columbus is celebrating it’s 27th year as Ohio’s largest pizza themed event today!
Sponsored by Nationwide’s Development Board, Slice of Columbus has raised over a million dollars in donations from this event alone, including tickets and sponsors. This year the festival will be hosting 13 different pizza shops, and if you thought you might not get a slice because of the crowds, do not worry, there will be over 3,000 pizzas available with the purchase of a ticket, according to Niki Shafer of Nationwide.
“Come early because crowds tend to form and the lines get super long,” said Shafer, and she can’t possibly be wrong, I mean it’s a pizza festival, everyone and their grandmother will be there.
All proceeds go to Nationwide’s Research Institute for pediatric research. If saving lives and eating pizza doesn’t sound like the ideal lifestyle to you, then you don’t belong in Columbus.
Tickets are still available at the door for $18, but all online ticket purchases are sold. For children under 13, tickets are just $10 bucks. Doors open at today at 5 pm – 9 pm.
