Launched last year in response to the pandemic, the Cbus ArtWalks app uses data from the Columbus Makes Art database to show users the locations of Columbus’ outdoor and indoor public art. You can search by title or artist name, too, and find descriptions of over 1,200 pieces of public art in central Ohio.

The app’s recent update gives users the option to explore collections of public art that are within walking distance of each other, such as the River Walk Tour and the Tour of Landmark Sculptures.

A second app update anticipated for this fall will add historic architecture to the app’s database. You’ll also be able to filter search results by type of art, and create a user profile with a your own list of favorites.
